Lindsey’s Maternity {Patterson Maternity Photographer}

Posted on April 27, 2010

When Lindsey called me about her maternity session, she was wondering if I even did this style.  She explained what I want and I immediately knew what we were going to do and was excited about finally getting a chance to do something different.  I know many other photographers have conquered this style, but this is only the second time I’ve had this request, so it was a lot of fun!  I did have a lot of other ideas, but poor Lindsey’s husband had to go back to work unexpectedly and missed the session … but, her daughter joined in and isn’t she the most beautiful little girl?  So, I present to you, Lindsey’s dark, moody and intimate maternity session!

Carly – 2010 Senior {Morgan City Senior Photographer}

Wow, Carly had some great locations and ideas for photos, I had so much fun during her shoot even though I was wishing I had rubber boots and bug spray :-)  We headed down to Patterson where Carly spends a lot of time riding four wheelers and getting dirty.  We walked through the woods, following the muddy trails, climbed an old brick fort, trekked through tall weeds to get to some pretty flowlers and even played with a few OCF (off camera flash) images.  It was a lot of fun and I love the resulting images … I hope you guys do too!

Do I have any Twilight fans out there?  I’d love to do some shots similar to this but with a Twilight theme …  the backdrop, lighting and processing reminds me of the movies :-)

Jamie’s Bridals {Lafayette Wedding Photographer}

Posted on April 25, 2010

Jamie was one of those brides that looked amazing no matter where she stood or how she posed.  She was so easy to work with and I just love the elegant simplicity of her dress.  We also happened to be shooting in an amazing location – the beautiful Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia.  For anyone looking for a great location for their bridals, this place is definitely worth it (they do charge a fee to take pictures there, I believe its about $150).

Jamie and Caleb have already been on the blog for their engagement photos as well as their engagement party.  I wish I could say you’ll see there wedding photos here, but I didn’t get to travel to Cabo San Lucas for that event … I’m sure it was amazing!

Congrats you guys, I hope you had a beautiful ceremony and a great honeymoon!
