David & Kelly – Engaged {Morgan City Wedding Photographer}

Posted on December 21, 2010

Years ago, when I first started working in Morgan City, I met Kelly when I photographed her little brother, Bradley, for his Senior photos.  I had so much fun that day hanging out with her, her brother and her mom, so I was thrilled when Kelly called me to be her wedding photographer.  She and David have been together for 8 years, through both of them going to different colleges and David living in New Orleans.  David proposed to Kelly last year on a horse and buggy ride in New Orleans, so it was only fitting that their engagement photos be in and around New Orleans. We started out at City Park on a really chilly day but by the time we reached the French Quarter, it had warmed up a bit.  It was a beautiful morning and I had a great time with you guys!

Congratulations Kelly and David, I can’t wait until your wedding!

Easton – 5 Months {Morgan City Baby Photographer}

There have been several times when I’ve gone on and on here, talking about the reasons I love my job, and this post is no different.  I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this reason before, but yet another perk of this job has been reconnecting with old friends and classmates.  Of course, its not just the photographer part, Facebook plays a large role in the reconnection part of it.

Easton’s mommy and I went to elementary school together and I don’t think I’ve seen her since we graduated 8th grade – we went to different high schools.  And despite an almost 3 hour car ride, Easton was a complete joy to photograph.  He was so happy and animated, nothing really phased him!  He did so well through his hat and outfit changes.  This age is always so much fun to photograph because they can’t get away from me, yet!

I love that even though you can hardly see mom’s face, you can see the love she has for her little boy
