Tristan – 3 Days Old {Morgan City Newborn Photographer}

Tristan was such a little sweetheart, a tiny little thing. He wasn’t too keen on sleeping at first, but once we got him into a deep sleep, he was out cold. We felt bad at the end of the session when we had to dress him to go home. His mommy was quite a trooper, too. She was suffering from a spinal headache, a side effect some people have from epidurals, and something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. I had it after my first and couldn’t even sit up in bed, much less get out and go take photos! I’m glad to hear that she’s now feeling much better and I hope you guys enjoy the photos!

Every session poses its own challenges - lighting conditions, location, distractions or a variety of other things – this one happened to be lighting. Originally, we had planned this as an outdoor session, but when it seemed like the weather wasn’t going to cooperate, we switched it to an “in-home” session. This isn’t something I do often, but not beyond my abilities. Of course, it would have been much easier had I remembered to bring a flash with it, but we made it work with the natural light both outside and in their home. Peter and Matthew were both precious boys, ages 18 months and 6 months, respectively. I truly enjoyed them both and especially enjoyed talking with their mom, who I went to high school with. It was great reconnecting with her again as well as meeting her husband and 2 boys. They have a beautiful family and I’m looking forward to working with them again in the near future!
