Camdyn – 1 Month Old {Houma Baby Photographer}

Camdyn’s session is the beginning of some new things that I’ll be doing with my business now that we are in Houma. We recently closed the studio in Morgan City and although there are plans to eventually open a studio in Houma, at this time I have decided to go back to the “work at home” plan for my business. Hayden is going to be starting kindergarten in a few months and I really want to be available to be involved with his education in every way I can. Emelyn will be at home with me and I want to be able to work with her and do some “pre-school schooling” without worries about a studio. Its actually really nice to have my office back at home where I can sit here and edit , package, answer emails and just have everything in one place. The only downfall to that is that I have to alter my shooting style a bit – while I can still do traditional newborn shoots in-home, I will no longer be doing “studio” shoots. All sessions will be on-location whether its in your home or another local place. This session was actually shot right across the street from my home in an open field that has just one solitary oak tree. I’ve loved staring at that tree since we moved here and I just had the idea to try it out. It does involve sort of a deep trek through a ditch and lots of heat and bugs, but so far, the results have been worth it. Let me know what you think!

Camdyn’s mommy is into monkeys and she brought along this really cute sock monkey set …

Camdyn’s daddy proposed to her mommy at a Red Sox game, so this is an extra special shot for them. I shot there wedding a couple of years ago ( Candace and Larry) and was thrilled to be able to meet little Camdyn!
