Tara and Rob – Married! {New Orleans Wedding Photographer}

Posted on July 16, 2011

This wedding was so special for me to be a part of.  Tara is one of my oldest friends; we met when she moved to New Orleans from Houma when we were in 8th grade and became friends almost instantly.  Through high school, we were very close friends and shared so many memories together even becoming roommates for our first semester of college.  I’ve seen her go through so many things – both exciting and heartbreaking and I couldn’t be happier that she’s found Rob.  Because I know her and her family so well, I knew the great significance of so many things – her dad’s watch, which she wore for the ceremony as well as his cowboy hat which was passed around during the reception.  Her dad passed away when we were in high school.  To see her two kids, so beautiful and grown up as well as people in her family I hadn’t seen in ages.  It was just a very special night for everyone and you could tell how happy each and every person was for Tara and Rob.

Tallie – Mini Maternity {Patterson Maternity Photographer}

Currently, I am only offering maternity sessions along with newborn sessions as a package … you get both sessions plus 25 complimentary announcements for $225.  The maternity session will be done on-location somewhere, your choice.  Tallie wanted to do something casual in her own home, which was great because we were able to utilize the baby’s nursery for some shots as well as some special things she had around (including her puppy!)  I’m really looking forward to meeting baby Ethan in August!

Avery – 3 Months Old {Houma Baby Photographer}

I love this little girl so very much, I could eat her up!  This is my other little niece, Adalyn’s baby sister and though I’m a little partial, I think they are two of the cutest girls in the world (besides my Em, of course!)  Avery is already 3 months old and she is seriously the sweetest, most mild-mannered baby I’ve ever met.  All she does is eat, sleep, smile and coo – over and over again throughout the day.  She falls asleep pretty easily when I rock her, has the sweetest smile and laughed at her nanny before she laughed for her mommy!  (Sorry Mandy!)  Despite the fact that it was super hot and humid this day and we kept interrupting her sleep, she was a perfect angel for her 3 month session.  My sister had an idea of what look she wanted for the photos and Avery cooperated wonderfully.  After giving us a few sweet looks and smiles, she fell asleep quickly when I held her and stayed asleep as I moved her around to different locations and baskets.  I’ll be shocked if I ever get a 3 month old to do this for me again, but I’d love to try!  Even though I miss my studio and loved shooting indoors, I’m beginning to really embrace the outdoor stuff as well.  This is the type of stuff I’d want hanging on my walls!

Absolute perfection …
