2011 Holiday Sessions

This year, I am doing something a bit different from holiday sessions in the past. Each session will be unique and will feature vintage-styled props and details with a subtle holiday feel. The sessions will take place at Laurel Valley in Thibodaux on November 5-6. I have already booked up quite a few spots, so if you are interested in booking one, please fill out the attached form as soon as possible. The times available are:

To secure your spot, you will need to send a $50.00 within one week of filling out the form. The remaining balance will be due the day of the sessoin. Payments may be mailed to:

I am considering adding a date for New Orleans, but this will depend on interest. The date would likely be November 20. If you are interested, please contact me and I’ll add you to a waiting list.
Avery – 6 months {Houma Baby Photographer}

My beautiful niece Avery is already 6 months old and she practiced all week for her 6 month portraits so that she could sit up like a big girl. She’s not only sitting up, though, she’s almost crawling! I tried to get some tummy pictures, but she’d push herself up on all fours and then back into a sitting position … big girl! She did so well for her pictures, not much phases her – except the beautiful blue and green tutu that Nanny made specially for her session that she hated. That’s ok, Nanny still loves you so much!
As much as I love doing outdoor pictures, it felt really great to do some studio pictures again. I miss having a studio and I’m looking forward to the day I will open a new one, hopefully once Emelyn is in school next year. In the meantime, we did these in our playroom 
She is truly one of the sweetest babies I’ve ever been around … so happy and content. She only fusses when she’s hungry or sleepy. Such a sweetheart!
She just had her ears pierced a couple of days before the session, they look so cute on her!

One for Grammy who told us that she likes the baby’s “plain” without any headbands or clothing:
Poor Nanny spent an hour making this sweet tutu and she hated it 
Maybe we’ll try it again at her next session!
And finally this is what you get when you try to slip an unplanned sibling shot into the session – after they’ve had giant Halloween cookies and were melting down …
