Avery – 1 Year Session {Houma Baby Photographer}

You’ve all heard me gush about my niece Avery before, so I won’t go on and on again about how precious she is and how much I love her. I’ll just tell you about the little adventure we had for her session. First, my sister had the idea to get the old wooden high chair so she and my mom scoured antique stores until they found one. My mom painted it aqua and its now a prop that any client can request, if you want. I will also be getting another one, but I’m not sure yet what color I’ll do … maybe yellow or red? The yellow petti romper and headband were also purchased by my sister and then passed on to my prop stash
For years now, I’ve longingly looked at the yellow fields on the side of the road, wanting to do a session there but they always seem to inaccessible. There was that one time I had an engagement session in a field of yellow flowers, but they had already started to die by then. A few weeks back, my husband, kids and I were exploring some land around a pond next to our neighborhood in the Ranger. Behind the pond, we came upon a huge area of the beautiful yellow flowers (weeds). I’d love to take clients back there, but I’m sure going on a 4×4 drive to some unknown location has some kind of liability issues LOL Therefore, I choose to take my sister and 1 year old niece back there instead
We loaded up the back with all the props and headed out there (slowly and carefully) … once back there, we noticed the mosquitoes were pretty bad and it was getting a little chilly, so this session was done very, very quickly. Avery did amazing, though, besides not having too much interest in her cake. I think we may plan another session for her since this one was short, but we did get exactly what we needed!
