Baylen – 4 Days Old {New Orleans Newborn Photographer}

Little Baylen James was such a sweet little peanut! His mommy and I have been friends since high school so I was so excited to meet him and take his pictures. My sister came along to assist (I wish she could be there for every one of my sessions!) And even though Baylen’s sweet sleepy mood didn’t last very long, I was still able to get some precious shots of him, including some great eye contact shots at the end. Rachel and Jimmy, congrats on your perfect baby boy. I’m looking forward to watching him grow!

Brady – Spring Session {Thibodaux Child Photographer}

Brady’s original session was rained out but we were able to reschedule for a few weeks later and I guess that’s a good thing because I got some good news from his mommy! They are expecting again which means Brady is going to be a big brother! I’m loving field shots lately, as you can see, especially when I can combine them with props and little things for the kids to sit on. Brady’s mom brought along the little sign for him and I’m finally able to post these, now that they’ve told family and friends the great news!

Megan – Nottoway Bridal Portraits {Metairie Wedding Photographer}

Shooting at one of Louisiana’s beautiful plantations is always a treat, especially when its Nottoway! Megan choose to do her bridal portraits there and we met up on a very cold February afternoon …. very, very cold. We spent the majority of our time indoors, which isn’t hard to do considering Nottoway’s famous white ballroom. I could stay in there for hours photographing brides, its always so full of beautiful light. When we finally did venture outside, poor Megan was freezing. We had to cover her with a jacket in between shots and try to shoot quickly so she could get warm again! Despite the cold and the wind, we had a great time and got some beautiful shots. Megan and Brian were married this past March at Chateau Country Club in Kenner, it was such a fun and lively wedding!

Such a fun personality, I loved being around Megan!

Lauren and Joey – Engaged {Morgan City Wedding Photography}

Lauren and Joey met me down in the French Quarter for their engagement photos. We had a great time walking around, trying to keep away from the large crowds of tourists that were everywhere. It was a perfect Spring day, the weather was beautiful and it was quite relaxing to just walk around and find great spots for photos. I know Joey was hungry, so I hope it wasn’t too terrible of an experience for them I’m looking forward to seeing Lauren again tomorrow for her bridal session at Houmas House!

Ashley and Brad – Engaged {Houma Wedding Photographer}

I can even explain how much I love when a client comes up with some new and unique locations for me to shoot, especially for engagement photos. Ashley really did her homework for this session! She, Brad and Brad’s grandmother rode around Thibodaux looking at various properties and locations for their engagement photos and decided on 2 very beautiful and unique locations. The first was a private home that is owned by a man with a Ph.D in horticulture and his backyard is amazing, it felt like the secret garden! The second location was another private home but this one had a very different feel – it looked like a beautiful white plantation and had huge, gorgeous oak trees in the front yard. I had such a great afternoon hanging out with Ashley, Brad and his grandparents in these 2 beautiful locations and I can’t wait to shoot Ashley’s bridals and wedding at Nottoway in November!

Just look at this scenery, amazing!

Courtney – 2012 Senior {Morgan City Senior Photographer}

Courtney session took several weeks to finally happen due to all the storms we had over the last month, but finally, on our fourth (?) try, we were able to make it happen. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Courtney was a little nervous at first but soon she was relaxed and did a great job. She has such pretty eyes and a beautiful smile, I really enjoyed working with her and her mom. Even if I had to stand in the middle of a field with sandals on

Mauree – 11 Days Old Houma Newborn Photographer}

Mauree was such a little sweetheart – she gave us quite a challenge for a little while but after a couple of soothing minutes with her daddy, she was settled and slept perfectly. We even got to do some photos with her mommy and daddy as well as in her nursery. I loved her nursery – the colors were beautiful and so unique for a baby’s room!

After seeing this precious, tiny little diaper cover, I may just have to make my own to use for clients! Love!

Jace – 2012 Senior {Houma Senior Photographer}

When Jace and his mom first walked into the house for his studio cap and gown portraits, I somehow had a feeling he wasn’t really into taking photos. We had rescheduled a few times because of weather and I knew his mom was excited but it wasn’t until later that I realize Jace was excited too. After a few shots, Jace really hit his stride – turns out, he’s pretty much “a ham” (in his mom’s words) and loves being in front of the camera. I laughed so much at is different expressions and poses, we really had a great time walking around downtown with his mom and sister, Emily.

I believe this was the “Old Spice Guy pose” LOL

Avery – 10 Days Old {Morgan City Newborn Photographer}

Avery was born just before Easter and even though she was at the tail-end of when I like to do newborn sessions, she was a complete angel! As babies get older, into their 2nd and 3rd weeks, they aren’t as easy to keep settled and pose. Its definitely possible but it can be difficult and take a long time. Avery was not a problem at all. She was such a little peanut and so sweet, I love my job!
